T-Shirts $9

Yowza, look at these fine t-shirts! Click the images at left to see a closer view of the designs and place an order. Also, check out these hot bodies!

Printed on 100% cotton, fine jersey knit American Apparel t-shirts, these are the softest, best fitting shirts around. Made with pride in the USA, this durable, high quality garment will give your eyes and body all sorts of pleasant sensations for years and years to come. Swing by one of their stores and try one on if you don't believe me!

The images are screen printed using water-based ink, which is the king of ink for three reasons. First, water-based inks make a nicer print, with none of the shine and cracking that can occur with plastic inks. Also, water-based inks bond with the fabric, so the print is just as soft as the rest of the shirt. It doesn't feel like you're wearing a license plate on your chest. Best of all, water-based inks are less harmful to the environment, and we could all use a little more environment, right folks?

The shirts are being printed by Ashbury Images in San Francisco. This is a non-profit business, started to help at-risk youths in the community. Their staff are super friendly and accomodating. I switched to Ashbury because I recently moved to San Francisco from the east coast, and it no longer made sense to use Ravine Screenprinting in Montreal. Ravine made the first run of AFE shirts and they did an amazing job, were helpful throughout and afterwards, and great fun to work with. I highly recommend anyone in the Montreal area to contact them for your screenprinting needs.

It is all signed, dated, and treated to ensure a long life, free from smudging and fading, wrinkles, toothlessness, gout, arthritis, bursitis, indigestion, and worry. If there is a piece of art from one comic or other that you are interested in, send an email to brianjamesesq at gmail dot com. I've got a stack of paper going back years, so I can probably find what you're looking for.

True Detective

A novel by James A Huebner

"April 2003. American troops advance on Baghdad.

Two NYPD detectives, each marked by the attacks on the World Trade Center, search for a suspect who may be planning the next terrorist attack. On their first night together they make a bizarre discovery-a carefully stuffed human cadaver skin. Who did it? Why? What does it mean? As contemporary as the news from Iraq, True Detective is a profound meditation on truth, faith and meaning in the Age of Terror."

The above is quoted from the Barnes and Noble website. I designed and drew the cover of this book, and I bet it would look pretty sharp hanging on your wall somewhere. Comes with a story inside, check it out.
