Hi there friends. I put this page up because sometimes, I need help. It's actually a pretty decent amount of work, just putting this website up and keeping it fresh and updated every week. There's a lot of digital hustle, a lot of nerd-type stuff that I have to do. I don't want to do it. I have to do it. I've had to teach myself how to do it. So much of the behind the scenes has nothing to do with drawing or being clever, or funny. A lot of it is reading charts, and being analytical, and using programs that make me want to m-u-r-d-e-r. Unfortunately, you can't help me with any of those things. We all have our own windmills to lance. But you can help with other things. For instance, did you know that just by being here, you are doing me a huge favor? Having you, the reader, come by every week and giggle is the whole nut of this website. Having your friends come by and giggle would be even more of a nut. This is the part where the helping comes in. Do you have a blog? Do you have a friend who has a blog, or their own website, or whatever? Put a link up to afe. Help a fine example to penetrate the blogosphere. Send it in an email. Mention my jokes in forums, if the jokes made you laugh. Or maybe you have a twitter? I don't, but hey, nobody is judging anyone. That's not what this is about. Maybe tweet a link to this site every now and again. Or linksies in your myspace. Ha. Ha. Or on your facebook. Or join me on facebook! That's free, and fun still. These "tools" spring up so quickly, and most of them are worthless to stay on top of. Chasing crap trends, that's not fun to watch. I would much rather spend time making comix. You don't want another crammed in tumblr and digg and reddit and del.i.cio.us and social-media-worthless-marketing-tool-that's-coming-next button or whatever. I mean maybe if you're some kind of a jerk. But probably you just want to see comix.
Basically what I am trying to say here, what I am really inching towards, is that this site is based on having visitors like you. You make the world go 'round. I spend a stupid amount of time trying to get eyes onto this site. If you could help me out with that, if you could help spread the word, it would make my time a lot more rad. Thank you.
Hey look, resources! Print these out and staple them up in your library and around town. Don't staple them to telephone poles though, because the staples get rusty and the utility workers cut their gloves and fingers and it's just not nice.
